SWK 01198K – Black Water-Based Ink
SWK 01198K – Black Water-Based Ink is a high-performance black pigment-based water-based ink developed for industrial digital inkjet printing applications on a wide range of paper substrates, including book paper, newspaper stock, coated paper, matte paper, and gloss media. Engineered for excellent print quality, durability, and production stability, this ink delivers deep black density, sharp text reproduction, and reliable high-speed printing performance for continuous industrial workflows.
Unlike conventional aqueous inks, SWK 01198K utilizes a specialized two-stage drying and curing process to achieve both immediate handling capability and long-term print permanence. The first stage, drying, allows the printed output to become tack-free, helping prevent ink transfer between sheet stacks or web rolls during high-speed production. The second stage, curing, enhances print durability by providing permanent adhesion and improved resistance against wet rubbing and highlighter smearing.
Although the ink does not require heat to initiate curing, the application of heat significantly improves drying speed and accelerates the curing process, making it suitable for high-productivity printing environments. Drying and curing performance may vary depending on substrate type, heater efficiency, print resolution, print speed, and environmental conditions. Under typical operating conditions, prints produced at 600 × 600 dpi and 30 mpm with approximately 100°C curing temperature can achieve immediate dry and permanent results on matte and gloss paper stocks. More absorbent aqueous-coated or clay-coated substrates may require additional heat exposure or extended curing time.
